I have over 25 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, media relations, and public relations. BERKELEY PREPARATORY SCHOOL

Director of Communications

Managed the comprehensive communications needs of Berkeley Preparatory School, an independent coeducational day school in Tampa, Florida serving more than 1,400 students in Pre-K through grade 12. Developed, implemented, and strategically managed communications that engaged target audiences and supported the mission and vision of the school. Managed all marketing advertising, branding, print/online publications, social media, public relations, media relations, fundraising collateral, strategic planning, and crisis communications.

 

Supervised a full-time Associate Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications and a full-time Web/ Digital Media Manager. Ensured all materials representing the school’s image were on-brand and approved. Served as project manager for the Strategic Planning Committee to steward the execution of strategic plan initiatives. Secured earned, shared, and organic media coverage that highlighted the school's mission and goals. Served as the official spokesperson for the school. Developed and managed crisis communications while serving on the Crisis Management Team. Managed additional school communications priorities as assigned by the Headmaster.

Senior Communications and Marketing Officer  

Served as a lead collaborator in the successful launch of a $600 million fundraising campaign from concept to completion in print, video, social media, earned media, and the web for the USF: Unstoppable Campaign. Produced and distributed campaign and foundation news through various media outlets. Assisted in the management of multi-million dollar gift proposals and stewardship programs targeted to the university’s top donors. Provided strategic planning and project leadership for successful branding efforts to increase fundraising identity and advance the visibility and mission of the USF Foundation and the university.

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA, OFFICE OF ADVANCEMENT

Director of Communications

Implemented and managed communication and marketing for the USF division of University Advancement and the USF Foundation. Responsibilities included copywriting, printed materials, marketing collateral, gift acknowledgment, proposal writing, and web content development. Served as the media liaison between the Foundation and the university’s division of Communications and Marketing.
